|

|
Released 05.22.2010
This was a compilation CD that Nick and I helped put together as a wedding favor for Nate & Ray's wedding. Our mutual friend, Anna Gilbert, contributed 3 songs. Nick provided 3 of his songs that Rayleigh liked, and I provided 3 of mine plus the new wedding song, "Happy Ever After", which I specifically wrote and performed for them at the wedding. |

This CD is currently not for sale as it was a special compilation created only to be handed out as the wedding favor at the Leavitt wedding.
However, some of the tracks are from existing releases which are available separately by their respective artists. Please see below for links

I've known Nate and Rayleigh for many years and we were all excited when Nate proposed! Finally, Rayleigh would have her fairy tale wedding and be rescued by her valiant knight in shining armor. They asked me to write a song to perform at their wedding on May 22, 2010 and so I wrote "Happy Ever After". Rayleigh is a big fan of Owl City so Nick and I diverged a bit from my normal singer/songwriter acoustic guitar stylings and dove head-first into the quirky world of synthpop! A gihugenous thanks to Nick for working hard on this track around the clock without sleep so we could release it in time for their wedding! In addition to "Happy Ever After", Rayleigh picked 2 of my songs from Looking Up At The Same Star: "31:30" and "You Are". I also added the recently finished first single from my upcoming worship project, "Turn Your Eyes". Songs by Anna Gilbert
In addition to their special wedding single we contacted fellow friend and musician extraordinaire, Anna Gilbert, to see if she could donate some tracks to the project. She gracefully allowed us to use songs from several of her albums: "Swept Away" from Your Love My Medicine, "Make Youself At Home" from Falling In A Beautiful Place, and "Don't Say Goodnight" from Like A River. Thanks, Anna, for letting us use your beautiful songs on this recording! Songs by Nick Garrett-Powell
My good friend and musical collaborator, Nick, also offered up some of his unreleased songs that he's been working on in the studio wich are slated to be released on a new CD hopefully soon: "Blameless" and "Your Love Conquers All". His song, "Eleison" is his first released single available on iTunes. Thanks for your around-the-clock help on making this special gift a reality! Please join with me in wishing Nate and Rayleigh their much deserved Happy Ever After! |
