Watch the days so like the waves
Come crashing down
Only to turn around
Slide out the same way in retreat
Just like your hopes and dreams, they're tossed about
By the bitter seas
Leaving the salty tears of fear and doubt
There on your cheeks

But He says
My yoke is easy
And My burden is light
Let your heavy load fall
Find peace tonight

On a broken, scarred back with hands nailed wide
He lifted all the weight
Of everything you and I will ever do
So why hesitate
In taking Him at his word or refuse to give
The benefit of the doubt
When He says I'm the Life, the Way and the Truth
Believe and you will live

Don't you see
This yoke was made for two
You'll never be alone
He's there to carry too
So all your worries, now
Just lay them at His feet
And you'll find peace

So come unto Me all heavily laden
I'll give you rest
