Here I sit and ponder many things
And I could wax eloquent for many days
But all of my earthly wisdom simply wouldn't suffice
Cause in the end it doesn't come on down to
Have you been naughty or nice
But you say it sounds like gibberish
Utter nonsense, simply foolishness
Stub your toe on the stone cast aside that was Christ when he died for you
But in the end there's nothing left for us to do
It's all been done by grace
We've all been saved through faith
Not by any good deeds we might do
Just, do you know him
Does he know you?
So tell me where is the wise man? Tell me where is the sage?
Some search only for signs and wonders, others look to their own fame
But those who trust in their own strength will surely be dismayed
Cause in the end it all comes down to
Christ crucified and the empty grave
The foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom
The weakness of God is stronger than man's strength
For we've all fallen short of perfection
We're in need of redemption
But still he loves us and calls us each by name
