I lift up my eyes
Where does my help come from?
Why do I feel stranded?
No help from anyone
Even though I know deep inside
That you'll never leave my side
Still I feel alone
Right now hope is hard to find
Like a moonless, starless night
There is no light to guide me
I stumble, trip so blind
I know you have a better plan
So please help me now to stand
Lord I need you near
Give me your peace
It surpasses understanding
In the face of overwhelming fear
Your peace
Though the lion roars I can be sure
You'll hide me in the shadow of your wings
Give me your peace
Oh, I need your peace
I lift up my eyes
Where does my help come from?
It comes from you alone
You keep my feet from slipping down
Even though the waves grow high
And the doubts they plague my mind
Still your hand is strong
Save me, O my God, the waters up to my neck
And I'm so worn out from calling, calling out for help
Answer me, O my Lord, out of the depths of your goodness
In your great mercy turn to me, come near and rescue me
