Update On New CD Coffee Shop Songs
I know it has been quite awhile since I've managed to release any
of my new material, but I finally got all of the pieces put together
for my home recording studio this past month. So, with the help of
some friends I managed to record 15 of my newer songs and they will
be coming out sometime this summer (shooting for July 4) as my first
full-length new CD since More In Store was released on 11-17-2004.
I tried to achieve a warm and intimate acoustic sound for this recording,
so those of you who enjoyed
Unplugged should like
this new CD as well with just me on guitar and vocals. I recorded all of the songs live in the studio
without any punch-ins or additional tracks so people can hear exactly what I sound like when I play
live in a coffee shop. Here is the currently scheduled track list:
Coffee Shop Songs
01 Without Love
02 He Took It All
03 Be Thou My Vision
04 That's What Friends Are For
05 Telephone Game
06 Love Your Enemies
07 31:30
08 Coffee Shop Song
09 1000 Butterflies
10 Undertow
11 When I Find Forever
12 Before The Sun Sets
13 In Their Place
14 I Will Tell
15 It's By The Grace
The songs on this CD tell the story of many of my personal joys,
struggles, tragedies, and triumphs over the past several years.
From "Undertow" which speaks of the dangers of being complacent
with sin to "When I Find Forever" which is dedicated to my father
who lost his fight with cancer near the end of 2004. I hope that everyone enjoys
the open and honest freshness of this new recording. For those of
you who like a more fully-produced sound I am working on getting
these same songs along with several others recorded with a full-band later this summer, so
stay tuned for news on that release as well!

I hope you all enjoy the new CD. I have had a blast writing,
recording and putting it together for you!

Dawson
