Coming soon to a couch near you! We’ve been booking some intimate home shows in the Portland area this summer and are looking for some more homes to invade. So if you would like to host an Acoustic Living Room Concert please let us know!
Released: April 6, 2013
I took time out from working on the more time consuming Jehovah Jireh lyric video to put this simpler one together for the new single Precious Is the Blood. The photo used for the video and also for the single artwork was taken by my good friend Rayleigh Leavitt.
This is an original worship song I wrote back in 2005 that we recently recorded for my upcoming CD “White”. I was able to get my good friends Tyler Geel and Amy Aldrete to make guest appearances on this song. Tyler brought the unique sound of the accordion to the song and Amy graced us with her beautiful harmonies! Once again my good friend Nick Garrett-Powell outdid himself on recording and production as well as playing bass and shaker. This song is based mostly on 1 Peter 1:18-19:
“For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.”
As well as Isaiah 1:18:
“Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the Lord. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.”
The bridge is taken from the traditional hymn, “Nothing But The Blood”, by Robert Lowry, 1876. This is my first attempt at putting together a lyric video so I hope you’ve enjoyed it! Blessings & grace!
If you enjoy the video please pass it on, thanks!
